Exhibition “War Through the Voices of Children”

“Mama, why are we only now realizing that peace is the most important thing?”

This sentence needs no explanation. The words are short, clear, and unambiguous. Emotional children’s quotes about war are at the center of the exhibition “War Through the Voices of Children” by the Ukrainian Association in Vorarlberg. The quotes explain the children’s perspective on the war: what they dream about, what worries them, and what they see as hope and guidance. Translated by illustrators, this creates a communication that everyone understands and needs no further explanation. The quotes come from the book of the same name by the non-profit foundation Voices of Children.
