Description

Associaton of Bosnian-Herzegovinian and Slovenian friendship Ljiljan ("Društvo bosansko-hercegovskega in slovenskega prijateljstva Ljiljan ") was established on 16 September 1992 in Ljubljana. There are couple of active sections in the Association: folklore, singing, drama acting, literature and sports section. With all regular activities of the Association, which are connected with  the presentation of Bosniak culture and traditions in Slovenia, we also manage to execute projects that are co-financed by Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and Public Fund for Cultural activity.
Yearly Association puts up to realization six different projects. This year they are the carriers for a larger project "Škljoc i boc" which is funded by  Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and Public Fund for Cultural Activity. The aim of the project is that through 80 workshops they  teach members of vulnerable groups on photography, fashion design and design from old material. In the mentioned project they have 3 people employed that are in charge to run the project.
The Association Ljiljan has 120 regular members. The executive board of the Association with its members often organizes  humanitarian help for the  people who need it the most. The Association had a very important role with the collection of various means in war and post-war era, which were assistance for the victims of war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
