KASUMAMA

The voluntary association KASUMAMA organizes the family-friendly "KASUMAMA Afrika Festival" in Lower Austria every year in July. Within five days and its international music programme as well as its focus on art and culture 5.000 visitors come every year to be part of an intercultural dialogue, the promotion of which is the main target of the festival. The manifold programme, which ranges from concerts, dances, workshops to lectures and discussions offers insights into African cultures and traditions beyond stereotypes. Special attention is given to children as they are our future.
