Training for local government officials in Heraklion aimed at developing intercultural skills and supporting the integration of migrants

Within the framework of the European project EMV-LII, a cycle of training for local government officials aimed at developing intercultural skills and supporting the integration of migrants took place from 1 to 2 October 2024. The training was organised by Symbiosis-Council of Europe School of Political Studies in Greece, in cooperation with the Heraklion Development Agency and the Regional Observatory for Social Inclusion of the Region of Crete. The sessions were designed to enhance understanding, foster dialogue, and build networking opportunities. The training addressed key topics such as intercultural competencies, shaping positive narratives, intercultural communication, and inclusive participation, providing participants with practical tools to contribute to the creation of an intercultural city.
