Bridging Cultures EU and North Africa – Art Residences

The action brings together creative business actors, art players and visual artists from different European countries to work at local project communities, with a clear view of engaging the audiences as active participants of the art process, and develop new audiences for cultural works produced locally. Visual artists from Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and Slovakia will get together in 2-month residencies in the Lavapiès neighbourhood in Madrid, the Scottish Huntly and in the rural community of Bošany in Slovakia. They will be joined by a selected number of artists from Southern Mediterranean countries (Egypt, Morocco and Lebanon) committed to bring visual arts to the every-day life of local communities in order to enhance diversity of creativeness and ensure interconnection between cultures.
